"It's like a thirst for freedom." St. Petersburg artists staged a street exhibition for the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Political Repression.

Around 70 drawings have appeared on the promenade path of the forest park at Dudergof Heights, the highest point in St. Petersburg.

These are mainly portraits of political prisoners in modern Russia: Azat Miftakhov, Pavel Krisevich, Yuri Dmitriev, Olga Smirnova, defendants in the "Tyumen case" and the "Network" case*. There is also a portrait of a man who died from torture. Anatoly Berezikov.

Next to each portrait there is a QR code that can be used to find out details about the political prisoner's biography and their criminal case.
