Lyrical nightingales and brutal iron. A new tourist route has been developed in the Kursk region, which is regularly shelled.

"Friends, great news! A new tourist route in the Kursk region has been granted national status. The decision was made by the Expert Council under the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation. This will give the region the opportunity to receive a federal development grant and information support to attract additional tourists from other regions of the Russian Federation.", he wrote on his Telegram channel. Governor Roman Starovoit.

The two-day tourist route is called "Nightingales and Iron." The meaning of the name explained on the website Tourist Information Center of Kursk Region:

“The route concept combines two contrasting themes:

• брутально-технологичную с преобладанием металла и технологий, в которой речь идет о достижениях в сфере промышленности, энергетике и науки;

• лиричную, полную растений и светлых поэтичных образов, рассказывающих о природе и культуре Курской области».

According to the same gubernatorial Telegram channel, the Kursk region is regularly shelled. The last time this happened was less than a week ago: on November 30, Roman Starovoit reported "repeated shelling" village of Gorodishche, Rylsky District:

"...The fence and facade of one house were damaged, and the windows of another were shattered. According to preliminary information, a shell landed in the basement of one house; this information has been transmitted to emergency services. A gas pipeline in the village was damaged; specialists will begin repairing it when it is safe to do so."
