Another criminal case has been opened against journalist Maria Ponomarenko.
To the journalist RusNews by Maria Ponomarenko Ponomarenko is accused of assaulting two prison staff, including the head of the security department. The prosecution claims Ponomarenko refused to appear before the disciplinary committee, and that prison staff forced her to appear before them, at which point she attacked them. Maria Ponomarenko denies this.
Charge brought against under Part 2 of Article 321 of the Criminal Code (causing harm not dangerous to health to an employee of a place of detention). About this ATS-info the journalist's lawyer reported Dmitry Shitov.
Previously Maria Ponomarenko received Six years for spreading "fake news" about the Russian army "motivated by political hatred." The charges stemmed from a post on a personal Telegram channel about the deaths of civilians in the Mariupol drama theater.
In his letters Ponomarenko Reported about bullying and beatings by FSIN officers and medical staff at the psychiatric clinic where she was placed after a nervous breakdown.
