"Yesterday we fought to close the Poltava landfill, and now they want to close me." Environmental activist Natalia Gariaeva claimed a criminal case is being fabricated against her.

Garyaeva published on a Telegram channel Poltava against the landfill video of her appeals "to all who, by law, must protect people from crime and tyranny."

According to the activist, a criminal case is being fabricated against her:

"The police and the district prosecutor's office have been bombarded with false accusations. Questioning of employees of the company I manage began today. They are interrogating them without allowing them to call a lawyer, forcing them to give testimony that could be used to initiate a criminal case, deceiving and intimidating them. I've learned that searches are being planned at my place of work. Their goal is one: to fabricate grounds for my arrest and discredit our common cause—the fight against the landfill."

"As a law enforcement official told me, the order was given to 'get me off the highway.' This is a blood feud for the fact that the landfill was closed, and they [the district administration and police] were disgraced across the country.", - said Natalia Garyaeva NotMoscow.

According to her, she does not yet know what kind of criminal case this might be:

"They might fabricate charges of tax evasion and illegal business activities. I'm afraid they'll just make this up out of thin air; maybe they'll plant something else tomorrow. They've been ordered to dig up something, discredit me by any means necessary, and start a case so I'll shut up and disappear."
