defense Department suggested Significantly increase the maximum age for military service for conscripts. If deputies approve the bill, the upper age limit will rise from 50 to 65 for enlisted personnel, and from 55 to 70 for officers.

Since June of last year, this threshold has already been in effect for those serving under contract during mobilization and martial law.
According to the military, this will help ensure the necessary level of staffing of the army and maintain its combat readiness.
