Signs of the times. Airplane passengers prevented police from taking away a drunk soldier, Z-patriots harassed a coffee shop owner, and internet commentators sided with a veteran who punched a doctor.
🔹Flight passengers Moscow–Yakutsk They prevented the police from picking up a soldier who was going on vacation. The soldier got drunk and swore at the flight attendants. They called the police. But when the officers boarded the plane, some passengers defended him and vouched for him. Ultimately, the police did not take the soldier away.
🔹Another soldier scared the barista and other customers at the Strong Coffee coffee shop, and the owner had to kick him out. The owner wrote about him on Twitter, but was later forced to shut it down. Z-patriots began writing about the coffee shop and the girl's actions, calling for negative reviews to lower its ratings. Reviews like these began appearing on Dublgis: "They say the employees and owners of this cafe have an interesting stance on our country and our army. A shabby establishment, the coffee is rubbish. Denial of service to active service members of the Russian Armed Forces! Covert support for the Ukrainian Armed Forces!"
🔹 And in Arkhangelsk to the head physician of the city hospital To Dmitry Shabunyaev A soldier had to be knocked out because he was behaving inappropriately: swearing and trying to get into a fight. The head physician wrote about this on his VKontakte page.
"Today, a 55-year-old man, a veteran of the Special Military District who was wounded there, came to my office. He came to get a referral for rehabilitation. Upon learning that I was the head doctor, he became angry, resorted to obscene language, and punched me. In response, he knocked me out (in self-defense, of course). The assault was eventually documented, the attacker was detained, photos and video evidence were provided to the police, and he now faces a prison sentence," the doctor wrote.
He also asked his followers to assess the situation. Most wrote that the soldier shouldn't have been hit and that the head doctor himself could have provoked the man into a conflict. They justified the soldier's actions by citing the need to gather a lot of paperwork for rehabilitation, which is why their nerves snapped.
