Amur miners have been trapped under rubble for at least 36 hours.

There is still no contact with the 13 miners at a depth of 120 meters.

Currently, 220 people are working at the rubble site. An additional team of 30 mine rescuers, mining specialists, and engineers flew from the Kemerovo Region to the Amur Region this morning. clarifies Press service of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations.

Work at the open pit continues around the clock: water is being pumped out, and a barrier is being formed to prevent soil from entering the mine.

“In 24 hours, rescuers cleared 90 meters of rubble, and water and sludge are being pumped out constantly, wrote Governor of the Amur Region Basil Orlov. "We decided to drill a borehole there on the recommendation of specialists from Kuzbass. Even if the passage doesn't lead to people, we can lower a camera into it to assess the situation and install communication lines."

Clearing the rubble is complicated by water flowing into the mine.
