Patriotic Iftar: Kazan hosts mass Muslim fast-breaking ceremony under "relevant" slogans

A strictly religious event—the evening breaking of the fast during the fasting month of Ramadan—was "adapted" to address state issues. The main themes of iftar steel Patriotism and the Year of the Family, as well as support for Palestine. The program includes sermons on family values and discussions about patriotism.
Up to 12 Muslims gathered today at the Kazan Expo for the national iftar. The head of Tatarstan is participating. Rustam Minnikhanov.
This large-scale event is being held for the 12th time, but this year it received federal status for the first time and held under the auspices of the Strategic Vision Group Russia - Islamic World (it includes representatives from 28 states).
Ambassadors and consuls from Muslim countries have been invited to the iftar. As reported by the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Tatarstan, starting this year, the iftar will be held "with the aim of strengthening Russia's international business ties in mind."
The guests were treated to pilaf made from two tons of meat and a ton of rice, over a ton of dried fruit, over two tons of fruits and vegetables, two thousand liters of juice, and 12 bottles of lemonade and water. Plus, a large quantity of baked goods and sweets.
