"There's Really Not Enough Oxygen": Vika Radiseva's Art Performance in Yekaterinburg

Red boxes with blue oxygen tanks appeared today at three addresses: musician Vika Radiseva suggests using them in an emergency by breaking the protective glass.
— There really is a critical shortage of air, — she explained to NeMoskva.
At the same time, the musician presented her new song "Oxygen," which she's been pushing for since mid-2022. It includes the following lines:
How can I explain to my mother that my art,
Calls for lawyers, not feelings?
According to Radiseva, the installation of the oxygen boxes went off without a hitch, and random passersby took it for granted.
No one asked a single question: what are you drilling and who are you? As if these boxes really belonged there.
The musician hopes that her work will be "a little breath of fresh air for the city and the people."
Because of the modern media field, you automatically start to think that for every time you stick your nose out, someone will come for you, — she says. — I see a lot of honest and poignant art around me, art that makes me think and feel. And as long as it exists, as long as there are people creating it, sharing oxygen isn't scary. It would be scary if I were left alone in this.
