A hare-official. A sculpture with big ears was installed in the center of Kostroma.

This is the ninth sculpture on the Mazai Hares tourist route.
Kostroma already has sculptures of hares in the form of a winter worker (the name given to peasants who went to the city to earn money during the winter), a lamplighter, an innkeeper, a gymnast, a merchant's wife, a sailor, a mother and daughter, and a cheesemaker. Now there's another hare—a government official.
"Kostroma at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries is impossible to imagine without numerous officials in uniforms appropriate to their rank and department. After the establishment of the Kostroma Governorate in 1796, its system of governance took shape. Governors changed frequently, sometimes migrating from one governorate to another. The provincial chancery was a vast bureaucratic machine; the governor personally headed up to two dozen institutions and had to sign up to three hundred papers daily." рasskali The organizers of the "Mazai Hares" tourist route told Logos44.ru.
"Mazai Hares" is a tourist quest that involves searching for 30-centimeter-tall figurines. Each is accompanied by a sign with a QR code that leads to a website with a description of each character. The "Hare Trail" can be explored independently or with a guide.

Similar figures, only mushrooms with eyes, began to appear in Ryazan back in 2021. The city streets are already can be found mushrooms - a sage, a Ryazan peddler, a mushroom team, a couple in love, skateboarders and others.
