Drones attacked Bashkortostan for the first time, a fire broke out at an oil refinery
This happened in the city of Salavat. The Gazprom Neftekhim Salavat oil refinery was attacked. According to media reports, the drone struck a catalytic cracking unit. Preliminary reports indicate there are no casualties.
Bashkortostan Governor Radiy Khabirov wrote about the incident. He stated that "smoke was emitted in the area of one of the plant's units," but that production was operating "as normal." Khabirov noted that "this is an attempt to tarnish our holiday; we do not intend to succumb to provocations," and congratulated everyone on Victory Day.
The distance from the Ukrainian border, from where the drones could have flown, is approximately 1400 km. This is currently a record, provided that the drones were launched from Ukrainian territory. Earlier, in early April, drones reached Tatarstan for the first time, covering approximately 1000 km.
