How will we be educated? The first meeting of the Council for Military-Patriotic Education of Citizens was held in the Federation Council.

"Today, no one doubts that the vast majority of Russian citizens are patriots, ready to serve the Fatherland and undertake any task for its protection and prosperity," said Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council Yuri Vorobyov.

But it's still necessary to educate Russians "in the face of modern challenges," and as actively as possible. Especially the youth.

Vorobiev считаетthat there are many interesting examples of military-patriotic education in the regions, and the Council will study and disseminate the "best" practices throughout the country.

Parliamentarians are frustrated by the fact that current federal laws regulating military-patriotic education are largely declaratory in nature. Participants believe a new, unified law on spiritual and moral values ​​and patriotic education is needed, and one is currently being developed.

Senators and deputies are pleased that "combat veterans and special operations participants are joining the life of society," and their "experience and knowledge are in greater demand by the state than ever before." They recommend publicizing their "exploits" more and more often.

The Council for Military-Patriotic Education was created in December 2023 to counter “West attempts to distort world history” and “the imposition of moral and behavioral models alien to our peoples.”
