"There's a shortage of officers at the front." The Chelyabinsk military enlistment office is hunting down an entrepreneur who graduated from a military department 20 years ago.
In early May, a 41-year-old businessman, who had been a reserve lieutenant since 2004, received a call from a military recruitment office employee asking him to come in for clarification. He said she didn't provide any timeframe.
Three days later, an unknown man came to the businessman’s office posing as a client and handed him a summons for military training, which was to take place “from May to June” in Tyumen, 420 km from Chelyabinsk.
Because the businessman failed to show up for these training sessions, he was placed on the wanted list. He learned of this from traffic police officers, who stopped him and took him to the military registration and enlistment office for a report. He was later fined 10 rubles.
To appeal the fine, the businessman turned to the "Conscript School" for assistance. They pointed out that the summons had been issued late and was written on a form intended for conscription for military service, not for military training.
The complaint has already been filed with the court.
— It is dangerous for reservists to undergo training for two reasons, — they told NeMoskva at the Conscript School. "Firstly, based on their results, they may lead to a promotion to a higher military rank, which will lead to an increase in the reserve age. Secondly, they may assign a new military occupational specialty that will prove in demand at the front."

Until the summons is legally served, there is no need to go to the military registration and enlistment office: many of those who go to sort things out end up at the training camp.
You can ignore calls, text messages, and letters sent through relatives. Threats of criminal prosecution for desertion or AWOL from a military unit should also be ignored.
In addition, the reserves can refuse to collect money for anti-war reasons.
