"The mattresses are torn, the beds are made of iron." The wives of SVO participants complained about the conditions at the summer camp where their children were sent.
We are talking about a holiday camp "Solar", which is located in Kamyshinsky district of the Volgograd regionThe children of "SVO participants" were sent there for their second shift to rest on free vouchers. Some never got to rest—they asked to go home.
The "vacation" began with the children having to walk several kilometers to the camp. By car, according to one mother, the journey took 20 minutes.
"By car! How long did it take the kids to walk? An hour?" I was horrified She spoke with V1.RU journalists.
The parents described their living conditions as follows: "The mattresses are all torn, the sheets have holes, there are male genitalia on the walls, and there are no shelves or wardrobes for the children. The beds are made of iron, and almost all of them have broken legs. There's only one electrical outlet in the unit for 10 people. They even fought over a phone charger."
These statements are supported by photographs and videos. They show broken beds, overflowing trash cans, and ancient toilets—"Genoa bowls"—built into the floor.
Director of Solnechny Irina Mishanina I was surprised why my parents "blew up the scandal":
"Well, it's surprisingly simple. Yes, the parents took these children. But the children didn't want to leave. And the parents filled out a form stating they had no complaints about the base. Why make a fuss now?"
According to her, it is the children themselves, who “come in all shapes and sizes,” who tear up mattresses and draw genitals on the walls.
