Kazan residents are to be sent on vacation during the BRICS heads of state meeting, and schoolchildren are to be sent on holiday. 

From October 22 to 24, civil servants will be given leave with pay - on these days, Kazan a summit will take place BRICSThis follows from the draft decree of the head of the republic, published on the official portal.

Private organizations will also be advised to declare non-working days. The Ministry of Justice Tatarstan clarified, that compensation for wage costs for companies is not provided.

The order states that the measure is necessary to "strengthen public order and ensure public safety during the BRICS summit." Putin is expected at the summit. 

Previously, Kazan schools were advised to send children on autumn break earlier than usual—from October 21 to 28—also due to the summit.

Students at Kazan Federal University were also affected. The start of the "normal" academic year has been delayed by two months: 11 students will be studying until November 1. "on one's own".

Students were also slated to be evicted from their dorms for two months—September and October—to accommodate security forces who would arrive in Kazan to protect the summit. After the students began complaining widely, they were promised relocation to other dorms. 

Another measure: all types of hunting are prohibited in Tatarstan from October 16 to 31. These restrictions have also been introduced "to ensure public safety."
