Artificial sun? Easy!

It was invented by scientists from Krasnoyarsk.

Specialists Siberian Federal University (SFU) have created A substance that converts energy into light—a phosphor. They claim the source is capable of simulating sunlight with over 97 percent accuracy.

SFU believes the invention could be useful, for example, to farmers, since the flavor of fruits and vegetables is formed under the influence of sunlight. The device could also be used in photonics.
