In an abandoned military town near Volgograd, just over 30 pensioners remain – their homes are falling apart.

Just over 30 people are former military personnel or their family members, who were provided apartments by the Ministry of Defense. Of the 255 apartments in the five-story buildings, 144 are owned by the Ministry of Defense, and another 81 are privatized, but most of them are unoccupied.

There's no management company: one went bankrupt, and no one else wants to manage such property. The Ministry of Defense isn't interested in the fate of the abandoned section, and the municipality can't afford to restore several five-story buildings.
