"No signs of concern." The Karelian government again discussed the fate of the closed school in Kolovo.
Before the start of the second term, a school in the Karelian village of Kolovo was closed; children were being transported 20 kilometers to another school in Pudozh. Parents complained to the Speaker of the Federation Council. Valentina Matvienko, and she scolded the governor Artur Parfenchikov for such a decision. The Republican government has returned to this topic.
During the discussion, Parfenchikov suddenly complained that the school closed in the middle of the school year.
"It all happened very suddenly," stated he.
The head suggested that the republic's Ministry of Education await the findings of an expert assessment of the condition of the school building in Kolovo, after which it would be clear whether it could be used again. He also suggested switching to home schooling for those students who "can't bear to travel to Pudozh."
In response to his words, the Minister of Education of Karelia Roman Golubev He noted that no violations were found in the closure of the primary school in Kolovo, and its former students, who are now transported 20 kilometers to school in Pudozh, have already adapted to the new conditions.
“The children are showing positive emotions and there are no signs of anxiety or any tension.” — assured Golubev.
Previously parents told Valentina Matvienko on how her children coped with the transfer to a remote school:
"Our children are now exposed to risk every day when being transported to city school, where they are constantly stressed, unable to return home immediately after school, are not properly fed, and become ill."
