Colorphobia continues: residents of the regions continue to complain about yellow-blue colors

Today the deputy Kursk regional Duma Vladimir Fedorov was forced to explain regarding the huge yellow and blue gloves that I took a picture with during the Maslenitsa festivities.

"What color are those gloves? Is that even appropriate?" — one of the residents was indignant in the comments, emphasizing that this insulted her “as a citizen of the Russian Federation.”

Deputy Advised She "shouldn't make up a problem out of nothing," recalling that the yellow and blue colors are found not only on the Ukrainian flag, but also on the flag of the LDPR, of which he is a member.

"If we were to develop your idea further, we'd need to ban certain colors in our country. And then we'd have to repaint houses, shopping centers, and gas pipes. Let's be smarter." — the deputy suggested.

About the same сказал Ivanovsky The regional court ruled against its lower court colleagues, who fined the janitor 30 rubles for "discrediting the army." According to the initial ruling, the man painted the courtyard benches, flower beds, and curbs yellow and blue, thereby "undermining trust in the use of the Russian Armed Forces in special military operations."

The janitor himself protested that he had no idea what colors were used on the Ukrainian flag. The courtyard had already been painted blue and yellow—he had simply updated the surface.

In overturning the court's decision, the appellate court clarified that to find the janitor guilty, it was necessary to prove intent to "discredit the army." This was not included in the case file.
