Rostov Oblast has become the champion in funding for weapon replicas and wound simulations for schoolchildren.

Rostov The regional Ministry of Education will allocate 47,954,148 rubles to purchase equipment for school classrooms teaching the subject "Fundamentals of Homeland Security and Defense (OBZR)." This money will be used to purchase replica grenades and Makarov pistols, as well as simulated wounds and injuries.

The "Not Normal" Project analyzed The cost of similar lots listed on the public procurement website in six Russian regions. All purchases are being made as part of the federal project "All the Best for Children." Their total value was 154,496,531 rubles. Rostov Oblast leads the way, but the amounts planned for other regions are also impressive.

But wider range of products: dosimeters, grenade mock-ups, replicas of a Makarov pistol and a Kalashnikov assault rifle, as well as training mannequins for practicing cardiopulmonary resuscitation techniques and providing assistance with various injuries, including penetrating abdominal wounds with prolapsed intestinal loops.

According to Verstka, the prosecutor's office in at least 21 regions filed Sued schools where the OBZR classrooms were "improperly" equipped, which, according to prosecutors, led to "negative consequences in the military-patriotic and spiritual-moral education of minors." In 2024, nearly 200 lawsuits were filed based on the inspection results. Almost all of them were upheld.
