"There will be no shame": Temryuk residents proposed renaming the abandoned Pobeda Street to Beda Street
One of the residents reproached officials are in the fact that for many years they have been unable to find money to repair Pobeda Street.
"The entire Russian people are preparing to celebrate the 80th anniversary of Victory over fascism. But Victory Street in Temryuk looks pathetic and completely belies its name," she wrote on social media.
She suggested renaming the street "Abandoned".
"And your head won't hurt, and you won't feel ashamed," She explained.
Other residents supported the proposal and offered their own options, including Bedy Street.
"Then it won't be enough to change the signs, but to ask the city administration for paint to paint over the first two letters," — they justified this choice.
Temryuk authorities stated that they will definitely not be able to repair Pobeda Street this year, as it would require "significant financial expenditures."
