A foundation helping people with incurable diseases needs help: it may close in two months.

"We saw this during the pandemic, and we're seeing it now, during the SVO period. When a country is experiencing a major crisis, the attention of both people and companies is focused on one issue," says Lugovaya. 

According to surveys conducted in 2022 by the foundation and VTsIOM, only 3% of Russians are willing to help seriously ill adults. And many have never heard of ALS, despite the fact that Stephen Hawking and Dmitri Shostakovich suffered from it.
