Employees of the Individuum publishing house were detained after a search.

On the publishing channel сообщилиSecurity forces visited several of the employees' addresses: searches were conducted at home and at work. They were questioned as witnesses by the BBC. clarified, that searches were conducted, among others, at the homes of employees who had resigned—the sales director and an accounting employee—and that one of those detained was the head of Popcorn Books and Individuum, Dmitry Protopopov. 

"We don't know who will be charged and for what, who will be suspected and for what," the publishing house reported. 

Individuum emphasized that they have always worked within the law, "whatever that may be at any given time." They hope for justice and that their colleagues will be released, but added that they "would not be surprised by any outcome." For now, all social media activity will be suspended.

Individuum was founded by Alexei Dokuchaev and Mikhail Vrubel (declared "foreign agents"). Publishing house released books by Oleg Navalny and journalist Andrei Eksmo owns 51% of the Individuum publishing house, clarifies RBC.

Yesterday we wrote about searches at Eksmo itself and the detention of about ten of the publishing house's employees. Also yesterday, a search was conducted at the independent bookstore "Map of the World" in Novosibirsk. There, security forces seized equipment used for it. have opened collection. 

Previously, security forces searched for and confiscated books about feminism and LGBT in the Moscow bookstore "Phalanster" and in the St. Petersburg "Subscription Editions."
