The former director of the kindergarten where the murdered Daler Bobiyev attended was sentenced to one year and ten months in prison.

This decision was made Sverdlovsk Regional Court during the hearing of the defense's appeal Anna GilevaThe woman will begin serving her sentence when her youngest child turns 14. Anna has two daughters – they are now ten and six years old.

In February, the court sentenced Gileva to two years of forced labor and ordered the boy's father to pay 250 rubles in compensation. According to investigators, Anna knew Daler was being beaten but failed to report it to either child protection services or the police. The former director was tried for negligence.

The missing person report of six-year-old Daler Bobiev appeared in late June 2023. Hundreds of Yekaterinburg residents searched for him for nearly three days.

However, it turned out that the boy died back in December 2022, the adoptive mother - Veronica Naumova — beat Daler with a shoehorn "motivated by ethnic hatred," drowned him in the bathtub, then put his body in a bag and hid it in the garage. The body lay there for six months, and child protection services failed to respond to the boy's disappearance. 

Daler's guardian, Alexander Naumov, was sentenced to five years in prison, but he did not serve his sentence and went to war with Ukraine.
