In some regions, the percentage increase will reach 20% or more: Tatarstan и Dagestan the increase in housing and communal services tariffs will be 17,5%, Chelyabinsk Region и Mordovia — up to 18%, in North Ossetia tariffs will be indexed by 19,1%, Kemerovo region — up to 19,8%, in Arkhangelsk region by 15%, in the Perm region - up to 21,1%.

At the same time in Nenets Autonomous Okrug housing and communal services tariffs will be indexed by 4%, Chechnya — by 5%, in Ingushetia — by 5,2%, Kabardino-Balkaria — by 6%.

First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Construction and Housing and communal services Sergey Kolunov He explained: The increase in tariffs is related not so much to inflation as to the need to update infrastructure: 43% of utility networks in Russia need to be replaced.

Residents of the regions reacted extremely negatively to the news. Firstly, they noted the discrepancy between wages and pensions and very high utility rates, and secondly, the lack of improvements in the housing and utilities sector.
