Three more defendants in the "Baimak case" received prison sentences.

Court of Fontaine sentenced Alberta Tagirova to four years in a general regime penal colony, Ainura Karimova и Vilyura Sagadieva — to four years and two months. All were found guilty of participating in mass riots that caused harm to government officials.

As Idel.Realii reports, the prosecutor demanded that each of them be sentenced to eight years in prison. All defendants admitted their guilt and, in their final statements, asked for "no harsh punishment." Furthermore, during the investigation, some transferred money to the "victims" of the security forces as compensation for "moral and physical damage." The family of one of the defendants even made a donation to an orphanage.

Let us recall that in January 2024, protests against gold mining in the Bashkortostan city Baymak poured out clashes with security forces: then thousands of residents gathered outside the courthouse that sentenced the environmental activist Failya Alsynova to four years in prison. As a result, about a hundred people were detained, 80 of whom became defendants in criminal cases.

To date, the total number of sentences handed down has already approached forty: the courts appoint The protest participants were sentenced to three to eight years in prison.
