With what? With kiwano! Novosibirsk scientists have developed a new ice cream.

Siberian researchers have created a whole range of products for the summer diet of Russians, according to reported Novosibirsk Agrarian University press service. New products include high-protein, low-fat meat bars, canned meat and vegetable products for children, and other products.

For example, they've created an ice cream made with kiwano and benincasa, also known as horned melon (or African cucumber) and wax gourd. This ice cream "is characterized by reduced calories, high moisture content, and a pleasant taste," according to scientists. Experimenters have tried adding pine paste to the product and believe it improves the flavor, aroma, and texture.
