The prisoners complained about the lack of medical care, overtime, poor conditions, and asked for intervention in the fate of prisoner Anna, who most likely has breast cancer.

The mother tried to call an ambulance to the prison, but it was impossible. The girl was later taken to the hospital, where the wound was cleaned and the cancer was confirmed, though the prison did not confirm the diagnosis. The prisoner was given only four days of sick leave.
Regional Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Romanova She stated that neither a prisoner named Anna, nor other prisoners or their relatives had approached her with complaints. She allegedly also had no complaints during her visit to the colony in April.
According to Romanova, prisoner Anna is “under the supervision of doctors” and her “health is not in any danger.”
