What is KMF? Strange mosaics are appearing in Volgograd.

Unusual mosaics appear at night in Volgograd on walls, fences, and benches. The abbreviation most often appears in the compositions. KMF or date - 1970 yearFor years, residents have been developing conspiracy theories. Could these be old Soviet mosaics? Or the work of subcultures banned in Russia? Or the heirs of anarchist artisans from the secret organization "Stone, Marble, Porcelain"? Or perhaps it's "some medical faculty"?

It turned out that the authors of the art objects are a Volgograd graffiti team, which called KMF. "Who Washes the Windows." Don't ask why it's called that. The acronym came first, and then the definition.

The KMF consists of eight people. They create not only mosaics but also hand-drawn street art. They began painting graffiti in 2009, and the first mosaics appeared in 2022 in St. Petersburg and Volgograd.

According to the artists, passersby always watch their work with interest. But officials aren't pleased. Recently, the administration of Volgograd's Voroshilovsky District ordered the destruction of one of their works, which was hanging on the wall of a building, and it was indeed removed. But the artists aren't offended and continue their work.
