Another endangered bird has been spotted at a clearing site in the Moscow region. Officials claim there are no valuable animals there.

A common crane was captured on camera by animal rights activists in the Ruzsky District at a site where a forest is being cleared. Prior to this, activists had captured the image while the equipment was in operation. storks and black kiteAll of them are listed in the Red Book.  

"We ask you to explain where the common crane nests, and what places it will choose when the forest is completely cleared and they start digging quarries. We're really looking forward to it!" residents ask the authorities. 

Residents in the Ruzsky District have been fighting for over a month against the deforestation of the Redkino-2 quarry. Advocates paid for an expert assessment, which revealed that the forest at the future quarry site was contaminated with Live in about 30 endangered species of plants, animals and birds. 

As Igor Popov, Chairman of the Ruzsky Municipal District's Ecology Commission, told NeMoskva, they have now installed camera traps to prove the presence of rare species to the authorities. The location and number of cameras are being kept confidential.
