"They're milking our hard-earned money": Residents in Novosibirsk held a rally against the arbitrary actions of management companies.

Residents of Novosibirsk held A rally protesting the arbitrary and non-transparent collection of fees for housing maintenance services by management companies.

"People are essentially fighting against an organized crime group that's simply siphoning money out of our city for its own benefit. I'd like to see the police and prosecutors work in the interests of the residents!" said one protester. 

Those gathered were outraged by the fact that management companies do not protect residents' rights, but rather force them to invest additional money, and that signature forgery has become widespread among management companies.

At the same time, no one is taking any measures against the management companies. 

"The government and the housing inspectorate's position is completely toothless. And this is happening all over Russia—a barrage of such problems, and not a single court ruling—the management companies are simply milking our hard-earned money!" — said one of the participants in the rallies. 

Residents across Russia are reporting widespread complaints about management companies forging signatures, collecting money, and failing to maintain their buildings. Kazan, Voronezh, Kamensk-Uralsky, Orenburg, Chelyabinsk,  Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky and other cities. The situation may improve starting September 1: personal data of property owners will be excluded from the register available to management companies.
