Political prisoner Alexei Gorinov has been held in solitary confinement for a month

Since July 21, Alexei Gorinov has been in a punishment cell, where he was sent almost immediately after being released from the prison hospital. The political prisoner рассказал In letters. Gorinov is in maximum-security penal colony No. 10 in Rubtsovsk, Altai Krai.

His solitary confinement was extended three times for formal and increasingly absurd reasons. For example, he "didn't keep his hands behind his back" when receiving bed linens or left his glasses and letters in his bedside table.

Gorinov suspects that doctored photographs are being presented to the commission to "prove violations," and that prison staff never sent his complaint to the prosecutor's office. 

In his statement, he asks the prosecutor's office to conduct an investigation and lift the penalties. "I have no other way out of here," Alexey writes.

Gorinov was in the hospital with acute bronchitis and was feeling unwell. He reportedthat he was not treated, so they had to use “self-hypnosis and meditation.” 

The former Moscow deputy is serving an eight-year sentence: he was initially given seven years for speaking out against holding municipal holidays during the war, and later had his sentence extended for a conversation with other prisoners that was deemed to "justify terrorism." Gorinov, 64, has suffered significant health deterioration in prison.
