"Give paper - help YOUR people": regional authorities have even turned wastepaper collection into aid for the war effort.

This fall, waste paper is being collected in several regions of Russia. The organizers promise that for every kilogram of paper collected, 2 rubles will be donated to regional funds supporting SVO fighters (with the average cost of waste paper nationwide being 12 rubles per kilogram).

In this spirit, competitions between districts have already been announced to see who can submit the most. The most active participants are promised certificates and letters of appreciation. The Temryuk District Administration Of the Krasnodar Territory promises Cash prizes and electronic certificates from the Ozon online store. She also emphasizes that a region that collects more than 100 tons of waste paper will be eligible for valuable prizes, ranging from a telescope and an outdoor sports complex to an alley of coniferous or fruit trees.

This is not the first time that the All-Russian campaign has been held.

This spring, the winner of the waste paper collection in Voronezh region was Kantemirovsky district - with a result of 14 tons (in 2023 it started from 1,8 tons).

In the urban district of Perevozsky The Nizhny Novgorod region last fall, while collecting waste paper were able to help out 151 thousand rubles—this is the money used to buy a quadcopter for front-line units.
