No food, no buses: Yakutia's budget is short
Yakutia's budget is increasingly struggling to cope with current expenses. Several programs have not been allocated funding for 2026, as was revealed at budget hearings in Il Tumen on October 15.
"Right now, there are no figures for a number of programs, even zeros. Funding will be available by the second reading. Let's not ask such questions for now," cited Public figure Vitaly Obedin, Yuri Nikolaev, Chairman of the Standing Committee on Budget in Il Tumen.
Due to lack of funds, there will be no bus service since October 21. will stay Residents of Pokrovsk, Mokhsogol, Berdigestyakh, Namtsy, Khatyryk, Churapcha, and Nizhny Bestyakh. Service with Yakutsk is planned to resume only in January 2026.
The food situation in the northern districts is difficult.
