Residents of Kopeysk demanded that the names of those killed in the explosion at Plastmassa be read to them.

Hundreds of city residents gathered in Victory Park to lay flowers in memory of the fallen workers. However, the laying of flowers quickly degenerated into a spontaneous meeting with government and trade union representatives, according to local media.

Residents demanded information about friends and relatives who were at the plant on the night of the explosion. However, lists of the dead and missing were promised only on Monday."We'll go crazy," — exclaimed those gathered.

After persistent demands from trade union representatives and authorities, the lists were finally read out.

For the second day, Kopeysk's public pages have been filled with the same cries from the heart:

 "My aunt was on shift, but there's no information. Maybe someone saw her, maybe she's in the hospital after all?" "My friend is missing, and nothing's known yet." "My uncle is missing. Maybe someone who was on the same shift with him remembers what workshop he was in, or knows where he is."

According to the latest data from the governor Alexey Teksler,  The deaths of 12 people have been officially confirmed, and the whereabouts of another 11 plant workers are being clarified. A total of 29 injured workers are receiving medical treatment, five of whom are in serious condition.

24 October Chelyabinsk Region A day of mourning has been declared. A state of municipal emergency has been declared in the Kopeysk urban district.

The Plastmass plant has made decisions on payments: the families of the victims will receive 10 million rubles. Those injured, depending on the severity of the accident, will receive between one million and two million rubles.
