At today's session, State Duma deputies accepted a law that allows for the punishment of minors aged 14 and over in criminal cases of sabotage (previously, criminal liability began at age 16).

The amendments also eliminate the statute of limitations for such cases, prohibit suspended sentences, and make it more difficult to obtain early release. Furthermore, punishments of up to life imprisonment are provided for "inciting minors to engage in subversive activities" and "involving them in terrorist activities."
