A true Siberian character: A Krasnoyarsk village is suing the region's governor.

This will be the Taseyevites' second trial—their first claim was dismissed by the Krasnoyarsk Regional Court. Then, the Taseyevites took their previous experience into account and the experience of residents of the village of Sukhobuzimo, who had already gone through this entire process and lost, and immediately appealed to a higher court. Now their case will be heard by the Fifth Court of Appeals in Novosibirsk.

In April, when the reform had not yet been adopted, but there was talk about it, the Taseevites staged a protest in the center gathered 400 people. They appealed to Putin to have their Taseevsky district wiped off the face of the earth.
"The famous Taseyevo salt was served at the royal table of Catherine the Great. The first People's Commissar for Agriculture hailed from the village of Taseyevo. The Taseyevo partisan republic demonstrated the true Siberian character of our ancestors during the Great Patriotic War, and now our men defend the interests of the greater Motherland, and we defend the interests of our small homeland." — they declared.
Despite protests not only from Taseyev residents but also from other residents of the region, Krasnoyarsk Krai became the first to adopt municipal reform in 2025, which eliminates village councils and local government. Instead of 472 municipalities, the region now has 39. Village councils were eliminated not only in small towns but also in the cities of Achinsk, Minusinsk, and others. Moreover, many municipal centers will be located hundreds of kilometers from populated areas.
The liquidation of municipal self-government is taking place in many regions – people are trying to protest: appeal recorded residents of the Irkutsk region, and in Altai, on opponents of the reform excite criminal cases.
