A Yakutia resident reunited with her Kazakh lover after 47 years.
Yakutia resident Evdokia met her beloved Sharipkhan 47 years after their separation. Soon, their son will see his father for the first time.
The couple's story рассказал SakhaDay. Young Sharipkhan from the Dzhambul region served in the Saratov region in 1978. There he met Dusya, a Yakut woman. They fell in love and planned to move to Kazakhstan together after Sharipkhan's service. But his mother forbade him from bringing a bride of a different nationality into their home.
The young couple had to separate. The girl didn't tell them she was pregnant. She gave birth to a son, Makar, to whom she told the story about her father. He tried to find Sharipkhan on his own, but to no avail.
In the summer of 2025, Seitzhan Sypabekov, the head of a Kazakh holding company, and his friend Almas arrived in Yakutia to visit the Lena Pillars. They were met by Makar's cousin, who told them of the unsuccessful search for his father.
They were able to locate Sharipkhan, who lives in Taraz, Zhambyl region. It turned out he knew nothing about his son. The news was a shock. Then came the first phone conversation. And in December, Evdokia visited Sharipkhan in Kazakhstan for the first time.
It turned out that Sharipkhan had been widowed for eighteen years, and Evdokia never remarried. The couple's son, Makar, is planning a trip to his adopted homeland this spring, along with his son, Nyurgun, to visit his father and grandfather.
