"Does it smell like trouble?" Ryazan residents have successfully secured the cancellation of a project to develop Grachina Roshcha into tourist attractions.

Governor Pavel Malkov decided to cancel the investment project he signed for the construction of a glamping site in a pine forest Solotchi near Ryazan. He spoke about his decision сообщил active residents who have been here for more than a year fought against construction of tourism infrastructure, at a meeting on the eve of the direct line with Putin.

"We also discussed the fate of a small area near the start of the Paustovsky Trail, where a tourism investment project was previously planned. Together with the residents, we reached a joint decision to propose that the investor halt the project. We will continue to develop the area in dialogue with the residents."" Malkov wrote on his Telegram channel.

Residents of regions across the country are fighting against the destruction of green spaces by various construction projects, but they are not always victorious. Therefore, the residents of Ryazan have suggested, that only a serious threat to the governor's position could have served as an impetus for such a decision.

One local resident expressed his point of view in a conversation with NeMoskva:

"The uproar in the press and social media, along with the third criminal case opened at the urging of the Investigative Committee regarding the destruction of a protected area, likely contributed to the decision being reversed. In any case, this is excellent news for the entire region and for tourists."

"Direct Line tomorrow. I wouldn't be surprised if everything goes back to normal the day after tomorrow," "This is a very suspicious 'insight,'" "The authorities only start to 'listen' to the people when things get tough."- we reasoned Ryazan residents.
