🎧 Bai-Terek- a throat singing ensemble from The Republic AltaiThe group's name, meaning "Tree of Life" in Turkic languages, symbolizes the connection of times, the unity of earth and sky, ancestors and descendants.

“By practicing three types of traditional throat singing at once—karkyra, koomei, sybysky—the musicians either immerse the listener in the boundless melancholy of the steppe or bring them to a state of primordial rhythmic trance, bordering on almost physical impact,” as stated on the Bai-Terek website.
The musicians' arsenal includes rare instruments whose names are rarely known outside of ethnographic circles: topshuur, ikili, tunur, tuyuk-shoor, and tuygaktar." And the lyrics tell of life, nature, and customs. Altai.
The group actively performs at major ethnic festivals - Ethnoscope in St. Petersburg, "The Voice of the Nomads" in Buryatia, "Wind Music" in Bashkortostan, and also travels with concerts throughout Russia and abroad.
