The campaign to reserve spots and submit applications for children's summer camps has begun. Due to a shortage of camps, sending a child there is becoming increasingly difficult.
In the Borsky district of the Nizhny Novgorod region About 40 people lined up at night on the first day of accepting documents for children's camps.
"Bor, the line for the Orlyonok camp has been filling up since 1 a.m. I arrived at 4:30 a.m., and there were already about 30 people in line. Every year, sending a child to summer camp is becoming more and more difficult: the number of municipal camps has decreased, and vouchers to commercial camps are too expensive.
On survey data, which was held by the State Duma Speaker Vyacheslav Volodin, 61% of parents find camping unaffordable. The cost of trips over the past year by 20–30%, the average cost was 125 thousand rubles (including camps in the Krasnodar region and commercial ones in the Moscow region).
This year, the cost of travel packages has increased again. For example, a 14-day package to the Zvezdny camp (Ryazan Region) will cost 69,500 rubles. To purchase it, you'll have to go through a real quest: book it online, then provide documents and make a down payment of 25,000 rubles. Compared to last year, the cost increased by 10 thousand rubles.
Most of the country camps in Soviet times were on the books of large enterprises.
