Authorities have denied a Belgorod police officer three times compensation for the death of his family.

Policeman Alexander Drozdov in the Belgorod In May 2024, he lost his wife and son after his car was attacked by a drone in the village OctoberHis wife died at the scene, and his son died later in the hospital. Drozdov himself suffered a head injury from a mine blast, a gunshot wound, and a broken arm. 

How to рассказал Alexander, speaking to Regional Aspect, said the fragments remain in his head. He underwent two operations that didn't help, and he's been trying for two years to obtain compensation for emotional distress for the deaths of his wife and son. 

“For almost two years now, I’ve been going to court, writing letters to the president, and attending meetings with ministers, where everyone shrugs their shoulders.” — Drozdov said. 

The authorities cite the fact that Alexei did not have temporary registration in the region, although he has lived there since 2007 and has worked as a traffic police inspector since 2011. 

After the man filed a lawsuit and won, the Ministry of Health paid him 500 rubles for his injuries.

At the same time, according to Alexey, the Ministry of Social Protection is ignoring a court order requiring the authorities to pay the man 4 million rubles in financial compensation for the death of his loved ones.
