The director of the Cossack Corps who beat a cadet remains employed. He has not been charged.

Director of the Shakhty Cossack Corps in Rostov region Vitaly Bobylchenko, against whom a criminal case has been opened for beating a student, not suspended from his post, even though more than two years have passed since the incident. This was reported by the lawyer of the beaten cadet.

NeMoskva wrote about this story. In October 2023, the cadet Alexey Marinets complainedHe was beaten by the principal for using a phone in gym class. Senior cadets are allowed to do this, but for some reason Bobylchenko got angry.  "The director told him, 'You're a loser and a bastard, not a senior cadet.' Then he punched the kid in the face, and the son fell to the mat."“- said Alexey’s father.

In December of the same year, Bobylchenko turned at the center of a scandal, having sent New Year's gifts intended for the pupils to the "SVO".

A criminal case for the beating was opened in May 2025, but Vitaly Bobylchenko still leads the Cossack Corps. He has not yet been charged. On the contrary, in the intervening time, he got awards for “diligence, effort, professionalism” and “success in patriotic education.”
