A former employee of the Ministry of Emergency Situations from Krasnoyarsk Krai has been accused of slander. He was previously threatened into resigning over the killing of roe deer.

Application for Gennady Bitinsh the State Hunting Inspectorate inspector wrote in Dzerzhinsky district the edges Vladimir Mikheev — the father of Oleg Mikheev, who was previously caught poaching.

“At the moment, everything is quiet, no action is taking place, — said Bitinsh. “I want to get to the truth, I want to put an end to the chaos that is happening in our Dzerzhinsky district.”

The persecution of Gennady Bitinsh began after he filmed an illegally killed roe deer in the forest in early December 2025. According to Bitinsh, one of the poachers was Oleg Mikheev. Bitinsh suggested that Vladimir Mikheev himself had organized the illegal hunt for his son. Furthermore, he had tried to persuade an Emergency Ministry employee to sign a report stating that the deer's carcass showed no injuries.

However, no one was held accountable for the killing of the animal: the number of witnesses dropped from four to one, and the number of killed roe deer dropped from three to two. 

"At first, they [threatened] through people. Then they weren't shy anymore—one person even sent an audio recording telling us not to go into the forest again, otherwise there would be an accident. Right up until that point." — Bitinsh said then.

Gennady was forced to resign.
