The Ministry of Defense's contract advertisement promises payments of up to 17,5 million rubles. The SVO participants themselves don't understand where this figure comes from.

"I don't get it. My numbers don't add up. Did they just add the 'coffin' 12 million straight away?" — the Z-blogger is perplexed. Commentators speculate that this includes loan write-offs of up to 10 million rubles—though even that doesn't add up to 17,5 million.

NeMoskva found this advertisement on the website zashchitel.rf. They promise payments of up to 17,500,000 rubles not only in the Kaluga region but also in other regions. 

Payments to contract soldiers recently increased in several regions. In Rostov region they  now receive 3,4 million rubles (together with the federal payment), Sverdlovsk region и Krasnoyarsk Krai — 3,1 million rubles.
