Residents of Karelia complain about the state of medical facilities
Residents of Karelian villages reported that local hospitals offer neither treatment nor a dignified farewell to the deceased.
🚑 Residents Lakhdenpokhya Patients complained about the condition of the local hospital's day hospital department, housed in a listed building at 9 Krasnoarmeyskaya Street. The walls are cracked, the plaster is peeling from the ceiling, the floor is wooden, and the furniture dates back to the Soviet era. Furthermore, patients fear the physiotherapy room will disappear.
"The physiotherapy room, which cost a considerable amount of money, is being rebuilt. Instead of a few treatment rooms, we need to set up a dental office in the basement."- told they.
The Karelian Ministry of Health stated that the inconvenience is temporary: the new hospital complex has already begun construction;
🚑 Residents of remote villages Muyezersky district (Sukkozero, Gimoly, Tumba) complained the lack of medicine in general.
"There's no surgeon, no neurologist, no psychiatrist, no ambulance, no medications. Pensioners have to figure out how to buy medications in Muyezerka or Kostomuksha... Aren't you ashamed, government? Where's the healthcare?" they asked on social media.
According to the head of the Ministry of Health of Karelia Mikhail Okhlopkov, the medical care in these towns is fine, since paramedics work there;
🚑 Residents Pudozh Residents are shocked by the state of the funeral hall at the local morgue. The room is old and dirty, with broken furniture piled in the corner and the cloth under the coffin soaking into the heels. Residents called the state of the hall disrespectful to both the deceased and their families.
"We came from Petrozavodsk to say goodbye to my grandmother. There were relatives from other Russian cities. And everyone was horrified by the state of the funeral... honestly, I can't even bring myself to call it a hall. It's a utility room. A dirty, old, untidy utility room," spoke out relative of the deceased.
People complained about the condition of the funeral hall back in 2023. Nothing has changed since then.
About the killing of medicine, especially in the outback, they say in almost all regions. The Ministry of Health I know what is happening, but there is no improvement in the industry.
