Yekaterinburg authorities have grounded 33 buses. They are unable to obtain spare parts due to "certain international actions."

The buses were purchased ten years ago for half a billion rubles for the World Cup. Now they can't find the parts they need. 

“The fact is that after the start of certain actions, which our state entered into on an international scale, and after the sanctions policy, it became impossible to obtain these spare parts,” cited The publication "Evening News" of the Chairman of the City Accounts Chamber Alexander Getmanchuk. 

At a meeting of the City Duma, answering questions from deputies, he explained: the transport was produced in Belarus и Bashkortostan, but the engines in it are American, and the gearboxes are German. 

Getmanchuk also reported that the company, which manages the buses, tried to establish production of replacement parts, but they quickly fail—"within a month or two."
