Wheelchair users will be able to exchange their housing for more comfortable accommodations in Tyumen.

The Tyumen administration has approved a resolution defining the procedure for relocating people with disabilities from housing where ramps cannot be installed. This was reported by representatives of the regional branch of the All-Russia People's Front. 

A person with a disability will be able to move to more accessible housing if their previous residence is deemed technically unsuitable for installing a ramp. Funds for this are already available in the budget. 

"The city will allocate 2 million rubles from the budget to the person in need, as well as pay for a realtor's services. The specialist will help sell the old apartment and use the freed-up funds (taking into account the budget supplement) to find a new home."- explained in the "People's Front".

The new housing can be either a newly built apartment, already equipped with all necessary amenities, or a resale property, provided there is a ramp. The mechanism for this exchange has not yet been established; social services will oversee the relocation of the first applicants.
