Thousands of residents of Yakutia are unable to obtain subsidized medications.

In the Mirny and Lensky districts of Yakutia, 2000 people entitled to benefits are unable to obtain prescription medications. Authorities explain this by saying that planes don't carry medications. Other means of transportation are difficult to access. The city of Mirny is located more than 1000 kilometers from the republic's capital. 

"Pharmacists are talking about logistics, while officials are justifying the situation by citing flight schedules, claiming the planes can't handle the cargo. Patients have been paying taxes for years, and now they have to put up with the airlines and wait for the boxes to arrive," they say on video in one of the local public pages. 

The information is also confirmed by official sources: there were 2000 prescriptions on the waiting list. After Visit to the districts last week by the deputy Il Tumen Ivan Lutskan 700 recipes issued. 

The Yakutia Ministry of Health also "worked on" the delivery of medications, but the agency's channels have not provided any reports on how many prescriptions were filled or how many medications were delivered. All purchases plan to be completed in April, the local newspaper wrote. 

Difficulties in providing subsidized medications arise and in other regions of Russia. Residents are told of procurement problems, failed tenders for drug supplies, surge demand, and logistics. Diabetics have even been offered to divide into groups and provide priority only to "economically justified" groups. Many accounts buy everything at your own expense or get medications through the prosecutor's office without waiting for officials to resolve the problem.
