Children in Bashkir villages don't attend school. They lost their roads due to the construction of the M-12 toll road.

"This is a serious problem: children, young people, and the elderly live in the villages... Children miss school for weeks because of this problem. The elderly often get sick and need medical care."- wrote one of the area's residents posted on social media.
Locals say they "choked dust" during the highway's construction and suffered inconvenience. Now, businesses profit from the toll section of the highway, but there's no money for repairs to local roads. They continue to receive promises of repairs, but the deadline has been pushed back to 2028.
Due to the construction of the M-12, six districts were left with broken roads, and the north of Bashkiria also lost a bridge.
Earlier, Bashkir media reported how a school bus can't get there up to two settlements in the Kaltasinsky district, and in the Karmaskalinsky district of children gives a ride a tractor to school.
Head of the Investigative Committee Alexander Bastrykin took over the situation with rural roads under control.
The off-road situation is not unique to Bashkiria.
